Preparation for Sacraments
The first step is to set up a conference with one of the priests of the parish to begin the paperwork and the rest of the marriage preparation. The date and time of the wedding will be reserved by the priest, but not finalized until the couple has completed the marriage preparation requirements.
Baptism is the first sacrament of Christian initiation.
All sacraments are celebrations of Christ’s love at work in our lives as members of a community of faith. All sacraments ideally take place in a gathering of the parish community.
Parents of infants/young children are asked to contact the parish to set a time to speak to Fr. Art Yabes at 408-245-5554 , about the baptism of your child.
Godparents and parents are required to register for and attend a baptism session/class. Registration can be done through our parish secretary @ 408-245-5554.
Fill out a baptism form (if you wish, this can be done using the online Baptism Form ). The baptism session is valid for one year.
Godparents are required to be present at the celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism
Becoming Catholic (RCIA)
The process of joining the Roman Catholic Church is known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). The Catechumenate, as it is often called is a process by which people are prepared for acceptance into the Christian faith. The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a faith journey which consists of four distinct stages.
